C D#
Rebirtha strolling 'cross the street
F C
Juggling keys to a small red car
C D#
Butterflies and bombs fly close
F C
Like she's some Disney movie star
C D#
Sipping hopes and lonlies
F C
Since the big leagues left us dry
C D#
Birtha, Rebirtha sing a sad song

Soothe these troubled times

Gm
First time
It's not the first time
Last time
No, I know I seen your place before
Maybe in a past life
Or maybe it was just last night
I don't know
Verse 2:
Birtha never sang too well
But her stereo shook glass
Leather gripped our bodies
As her toes curled around the gas
[ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/w/widespread-panic/111383.html ]
Shaking loose out of Kansas
First twenty minutes in black-and-white
Birtha, Rebirtha, talk to me, take to me
Ease these troubled times
Verse 3:
Won't ever talk too much
She had those television eyes
My gaze never strayed too much
Too much past those eyes
She said, "I know a town where real life's a game
Baseball's all that's real
At night all the faces light up
As the players take the field"
(Chorus)
(Jam over the verse chords for 12 measures)
Bridge:
The rhythm hear can be really difficult to handle unless you
pay very close attention. I've written out the tab below in
15/8 time, but it's probably more like alternating measures
of 4/4 and 7/8 for each measure tabbed out below. Either
way is basically the same thing. Notice there's 8 beats for
the G and Dm chords, and only 7 beats for each Bb chord.
The chords should be correct, but they may not be in the
right position.

(Jam over the chorus for 12 measures and play the chorus
melody line for the last 8).
(Verse 1)
(Verse 3)
(Chorus)
The final jam begins with alternating measures of G and Bb.
Eventually, the jam drops into the same chords as the bridge
section above, but in 4/4 this time.
