Taken from their forth-coming album In The Belly of The Brazen Bull, I've just had a quick stab at the chords for this- it sounds about ok to me! I've put the chords as open, but I'm pretty sure they're played as power chords or barre chords. The G bits in the verse are just two very quick hits of the G chord. Pretty simple really- I prefer to play them as power chords, G5, C5, A5 etc, but you may prefer barred or open. Intro Feedback, followed by G X 2 Chorus C G Meet me down in Chi-Town, C in Logan Square underground F You know the one, C G we were always there. C G Meet me down in Chi-Town, C in Logan Square underground F You know the one, C G we were always there. Verse 1 C Am E Forget the airport G and cut my hair short C Am E Eat cookies and cream G C from the store at the end of the street, Am There's so much junk in my head, E G will I only hear when you're dead? C Am E G But I'll still think of you to take it out on myself. [ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/t/the-cribs/309770.html ] Pre-Chorus It kind of stays on G, sliding up one fret, a few times, then alternates and gets quicker G/G# G G# G G# Chorus C G Meet me down in Chi-Town, C in Logan Square underground F You know the one, C G we were always there. C G Meet me down in Chi-Town, C in Logan Square underground F You know the one, C G we were always there. Verse 2 (Same chords as the first!) At the end of the rainbow... Pre-Chorus G/G# G G# G G# Solo (Same as chorus) C G C F C G C G C F C G Chorus C G Meet me down in Chi-Town, C in Logan Square underground F You know the one, C G we were always there. C G Meet me down in Chi-Town, C in Logan Square underground F You know the one, C G we were always there. A few notes are played to finish (on the D string, 10th fret) C, B, Bb, and then feedback to end with. Hope this helps- I can play the solo, but not 100%. I'm sure some of the better players on here may want to do that part better than I can, so I'll leave that to you! |
