This was taken from Woodstock 69' performance and other live MP3's.
Alvin Lee is one crazy man. He plays fast and with amazing clarity.
This is my humble attempt at his song. It is pretty right on.
This song is very difficult to master, but well worth the time.
Notes -
Intro: Blues/Pentatonic scales. Very fast! There is a lot of movement between strings
and there is also a lot of stretching. You will have to listen to the song extremely
carefully and many times before mastering this signature Alvin Lee 'lick'. He seems to
change it every time he plays it live though.
Verse: The all too familiar boogie-woogie rhythm! Pretty easy to comprehend.
Chorus: Some more fast licks. It is pretty repetitive though.
Solo: Look down below . . .
Other: Use light distortion. Just follow along with the song ya'll!

Then go into the chorus
Then the verse
Then the solo - Use the basic blues/pentatonic scales with lots of speed
He bases the solo off off the intro passages.
