Tuning:regular.
i apologize about the layout, i forgot to look at the templates.
also, i forgot to look at the key. but regardless, i made my own for
just this song. =)
i have'nt used exact numbers for the tremolo picking parts
but if you've ever heard the song you should know when it's time to change.
happy readings! (by the way this is my first tab)
KEY
/ \ - bend the note up to the number in-between then return.
~ - pull off
# - hammer-on
INTRO
the intro is just tremolo picking. all the way through.
guitar 1:
E|------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------| X2
A|------------------------------------------------------------|
E|222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222|
VERSE 1
it's the same as the intro but about 4 bars from the
chorus guitar 2 comes in and plays:
E|------------------------------------------------------------|
B|3333333333333333333333---------44444444444444333333333333333|
G|----------------------000000000-----------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------| X2
A|------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------|
it then alternates on the last time through and plays:
E|----------------------|
B|3333333333333333222222|
G|----------------------|
D|----------------------|
A|----------------------|
E|----------------------|
CHORUS
i personally finger pick the D and theA with my index finger and mute it straight after.
i play the E with my thumb.
by the way it only uses frets under the fifth so the last part of the A
IS NOT a 22. they're just played closer than the rest.
also, as it comes back up from the E they're played with slides and hammer ons
but remember to only play the E and the A once. you'll see what i mean.
E|------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------|
D|0-0-0-0-----------------------------|
A|-------0-0-0-0-2-2-22----------0-2--|
E|---------------------00-2-2-2-4-----|
E|-------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|0-0-0-0-------------------------0----|
A|-------0-0-0-0-2-2-22----------2-----|
E|---------------------00-2-2-2-4------|
there's no mistake there, it DOES alternate.
2ND VERSE.
there's some alternation here with guitar two's playing but guitar one stays the same.
GUITAR 2
E|------------------------------------------------------|
B|33333333333333300000000000044444444444333333333333333-|
G|------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------|
on the second time round it returns to this:
E|-----------------------------------------------------------|
B|3333333333333333333333--------44444444444444333333333333333|
G|---------------------000000000-----------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------| X2
A|-----------------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------|
then, once again, back to this.
E|------------------------------------------------------|
B|33333333333333300000000000044444444444333333333333333-|
G|------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------|

then once again it ends on this.

G|----------------------|
D|----------------------|
A|----------------------|
E|----------------------|

CHORUS 2
there's a little bit of a difference after the regular
riff is played through once. it's played the same
but you let the notes ring and strum a bit harder.
E|-------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|0-0-0-0------------------------------|
A|-------0-0-0-0-2-2-22-----------0-2--|

PRE-SOLO
E|-----------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------------------|
D|-5-----5-5-----------------5-----5-5-----|
A|-5-----5-5-----------------5-----5-5-----|
E|-3-----3-3-----------------3-----3-3-----|
let these notes ring. ^you can add wah here if you want. if so, rock the pedal slowly.
SOLO
this is the easiest solo EVER. just let the notes ring.
E|------9----------------------------------|
B|-----------10~9-----9 let ring 9---------|
G|----------------9#11-------------11~9----|
D|-------------------------------------11--|
A|-----------------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------|
E|------9------------------------------16~12--|
B|-----------10~9-----9 let ring 9------------|
G|------------------9#11----------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------|
while the solo is going guitar 2 simply repeats this-
E|-------------|
B|-------------|
G|-------------|
D|-------------| repeat however many times you want.
A|---------0---|
E|----0-2-4----|
on the last time of the repeat, however, RIGHT before the chorus,it plays-
E|-------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------|
A|---------0-------0-2-0--0------|
E|----0-2-4---0-2-4------4-------|
NOTE : after the solo guitar one stays quiet until the chorus.
CHORUS
this time there's no alternation in the quieter part, it is only played once and the
second, lour part has the alternation instead.
E|---------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------|
D|0-0-0-0--------------------------------|
A|-------0-0-0-0-2-2-22-------------0-2--|
E|------------------------00-2-2-2-4-----|
E|------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------|
D|00000000----------------------------------|
A|--------00000000-2222222----------2/3\2---|
E|------------------------00-2222-24--------|
E|----------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------|
D|00000000--------------------------------|
A|--------00000000-2222222----------0-2---|
E|------------------------00-2222-24------|
E|------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------|
D|00000000----------------------------------|
A|--------00000000-2222222----------2/3\2---|
E|------------------------00-2222-24--------|
on this last chorus there's a small solo-type riff played but my band plays without it,
and it sounds just as good but for completists i've put it at the bottom.
at the end we just repeat the increasing part like this-
E|----------|
B|----------|
G|----------|
D|------0---|
A|-------2--|
E|---2-4----|
then just add
E|--|
B|--|
G|--|
D|2-|
A|2-|
E|0-|
and let it ring.
GUITAR 2 FINAL CHORUS BACKING SOLO
E|--7------7#8~7--------|
B|----10-----------10---|
G|-------------------7-9|
