This is my attempt at Steve Martin's beautiful ukulele rendition of "Tonight you belong me" originally by Patience and Prudence, from the 1979 film "The Jerk". I've seen other for this song but you can't play them along with the song from the movie so i found this for you guys. It's the best version i've heard. In the opening he does a shuffle with the A6, all he is doing is sliding the A6 up one then back to the A6 again. I'll denote that with this symbol A6~~A6 I hope you enjoy it.... Intro A6~~A6 [ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/s/steve-martin/227561.html ] A6 I know (I know) A7 D G9 You belong to somebody new A6 E7 A6~~A6 But Tonight you belong to me A6 A7 Although (although) we're apart D G9 Your part of my heart A6 E7 A6 And tonight you belong to me Dm Way down by the stream A6 How sweet it will seem Dm Once more just to dream E In the moonlight Eb6 A6 My honey I know (I know) A7 D G9 With the dawn that you will be gone A6 E7 A6~~A6 But tonight you belong to me Toastyyy :D |
