******************************************************** * RADAR BROS. - THE SINGING HATCHET (1999) * * Album tabs by Zachary William Snow * * Questions or corrections? - unrealcity@sbcglobal.net * ******************************************************** Radar Bros. songs are not terribly difficult to play or to tab, but I've seen some really bad tabs out there (especially "Tar the Roofs"), and I also noticed a general lack of their tabs, so I decided to do these myself, dammit. As far as I know, these are all correct, but I'm not entirely sure on some of the voicings, so if anyone has questions or corrections, email me. All songs are album versions, and in normal tuning. Oh, and I leave it up to you to figure out picking and strumming patterns. These are slow songs, but their use of key changes and odd voicings is what makes them a bit weird. ******************************************************************** 01 - Tar the Roofs 02 - Shifty Lies 03 - Shoveling Sons 04 - All the Ghosts 05 - Find the Four 06 - You're on an Island 07 - The Pilgrim 08 - You've Been Hired 09 - To Be Free Again 10 - Five Miles 11 - Open Ocean Sailing 12 - Gas Station Downs ******************************************************************** ------------------ 01 - Tar the Roofs ------------------ C Tar Gm The roofs E Of the houses D That are leakin' C The religions Gm Of who live there E And are leavin' D Their infidelities C At the door Eb C When they come in. This was by far the hardest song to figure out, and I'd welcome any corrections, especially to the "Have fun done" part. I'm pretty sure I got it, though. The B7add4 and D9(no3)/A are outlined rather than strummed, so it's pretty easy to hear the individual notes.] B7add4 = [X2120X] D9(no3)/A = [X00210] Organ intro [transposed for guitar]: A Em A A A Em E C Bb D Bb C walk to D E C Bb D Bb E C Bb D Show your face 'round here again Bb C We'll have to burn the stations down E C One by one Bb D It's too bad your face Bb C reveals the state you'll be living in E C And in the time Bb D It takes you to run Bb C From end to end, you'll be dead again B7add4 D9(no3)/A Have fun done B7add4 D9(no3)/A You're the same in the photograph B7add4 D9(no3)/A So keep your hands tied up C E A A2 A A2 A A2 A A2 E C Bb D You're the type everyone tries Bb C to have and run their watches by E C Bb D Bb C Only time ain't what they need B7add4 D9(no3)/A Half contained B7add4 With the land D9(no3)/A Half with the cell again B7add4 D9(no3)/A And if it made you think like others do B7add4 D9(no3)/A Come a long way to make you think like them C E Bb E C E Bb E |
