& so on.
Intro:
The intro is the same picking pattern as the verses, except that it starts mid-bar, on
C#. So basically there’s this little pattern and then you start playing the verse.
E |-------------------------|
B |-------------------------|
G |-------------------------|
D |-------4---4---------4---|
A |----4---------4---0------|
E |-------------------------|
Voila.
That’s the main acoustic picking part for the whole song. As the violin comes in with
hands of the many must join as one, It'll take a lot more than words and guns...' The
(or maybe its a mandolin?) starts strumming F# with a similar pattern, and other
come and go as Maynard & co. see fit.
Once you get the rhythm and get in the habit of coming in strong on the first beat of
bar this song is lots of fun to sing with.
