I didn't like the first posting of Walls that was put up, so I thought
I'd offer my version. It isn't anywhere close to the way TP plays it,
but I think it sounds pretty good. Stick a capo on the second fret and
tune it a little high and it should be fine....
Walls - T. Petty
{G}Some days are diamonds, {F#m7}Some days are rocks
{C}Some doors are open, {D}Some roads are blocked
{G}Sundowns are golden, {F#m7}then fade away
{C}And if I never do nothin', {D}I'll get you back someday
'Cause you got a {C}heart so {Em}big
That it could {C}could crush this {G}town
And I can't {Am}hold out {Em} forever
Even {C}walls {D}fall {G}down
And all around your island, there's a baracade
That keeps out the danger, and holds in the pain
And sometimes you're happy, sometimes you cry
Half of me is ocean, half of me is sky
Chorus
And somethings are over, somethings go on
Part of me you carry, and part of me is gone
But you got...{chorus x2 then out...}
G=320022 F#m7=022033 C=x32010
Em=x22000 Am=x02210 D=xx0232
Any questions, comments, etc...more than welcome. Thanks....
