chords or was able to translate the original version on piano by Morrissey. However I
was able to translate an almost identical (Chord wise) acoustic version by Colin Meloy
on "Colin Meloy Sings Morrissey." I found help with lyrics from "It May All End Tomorrow"

Morrissey
I've Changed My Plea to Guilty
from Viva Hate (UK) and My early Burglary Years
Intro:
C/E G6 Am/E Gb G6 (2X)
Verse 1:
C/E G6 Am/E Gb G6
I'm standing in the dock. With my innocent hand on my heart.
F G6 C/E C7/E F G6 C C7/E
I've changed my plea. I've changed my plea to guilty.
F E Am/E F Gb G6
Because freedom is wasted on me. See how your rules spoil the game?
Verse 2:
[ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/m/morrissey/62015.html ]
C/E G6 Am/E Gb G6 C/E
Outside there is a pain. Emotional air raids exhausted my heart,
G6 Am/E Gb G6 F G6 C/E C7/E
and it's safer to be inside. So, I'm changing my plea,
F G6 C/E C7/E F E Am/E
and no one can dissuade me. Because freedom was wasted on me.
F Gb G6
See how your rules spoil the game?
Verse 3:
C/E G6 Am/E Gb G6
Something I have learned, if there is one thing in life I've observed,
C/E G6 Am/E Gb G6 F G6 C/E C7/E
it's that everybody's got somebody. Ooh no, not me.
F G6 C/E C7/E F E Am/E
So I've changed my plea to guilty. And reason and freedom is a waste.
F Gb G6 C/E
It's a lot like life.
