Verse 1:
F (Riff throughout)
Come around the corner looking at a fan to sift.
F
Take what you couldn't take here, make sure and make the monster vicks.
Bridge:
F (Riff 2 6 times)
Straight back, all appear.
F (Riff)
Don't ever c-come come undone,
don't want to say well it's done when I'm over.
G# (Riff 3)
Seen the corner play that colder for that style of higher collar, I know.
F (Riff)
Do the same thing over and over, hey do the same thing over and over.
Chorus: (Play with Riff 4)
G# F# C#
Farewell, June.
G# F# C#
Farewell, June.
Bridge 2:
G#
Rollerblades broke your daughter, three lanes coming to someone with me.
(Riff 5)
(Riff)
Verse 2:
F (Riff)
Silver, silver gentry make it up to where I live.
F (Riff)
Take, what's it gonna take him? Hey I'm 'bout to boil with him.
Bridge
Chorus
Bridge 2
Verse 2
F (Riff 2)
Straight back, all appear.
F (Riff 6)
Don't ever c-come come undone,
don't want to say well it's done when I'm over.
Chorus (3 times)
Note: Well, I don't think I've ever translated lyrics so horribly. The
only thing I'm confident he's saying is "monster vicks." It's definitely
"monster vicks" and "a fan to sift," as they are both very deep,
meaningful, and make a lot of sense. Thanks Midlake... thanks for
the pronunciation.
Also, there are a lot of riffs/fills sprinkled around but the
rhythms and timing in which they're played are pretty easy to
pick up. I hope it works out.
