Subject: There Stands The Glass (Ted Hawkins)

			 THERE STANDS THE GLASS
(Russ Hull/Mary Shurtz/Michael Pierce, Unichappel Music/Jamie Music BMI)
(sung by Ted Hawkins on the album "The Next Hundred Years)

Ted tuned his guitar to a "dropped D" (DADF#AD) and occassionally to a
dropped C (!). He then capo-ed up to the third, fourth or fifth fret and
played almost exlusively open chords. His right hand strumming
technique was unusually relaxed and musical; in my opinion that's what
accounted for his lovely sound. And of course, there's his astounding
voice!

This tune has the guitar tuned to dropped D and capo-ed at the third
fret. I show the chords as the positions at which they are barred.

                 3 8

that will drown all my fears
                      3 10
that will hide all my tears
