I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous - Frank Turner --------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by James Oliver (jamesdoliver@googlemail.com) I don't think the chords are quite this straight forward, and I'm yet to see Frank play to know what he's actually doing. But for now, these chords work, and I shall update it I have seen what is actually played. I decided to work out the chords because I have not them anywhere on the internet, and that is a shame because "I Knew Prufrock..." is Turner at his briliant best! Email me if you have any suggestions for changes to chords etc. C Let's begin at the beginning Am We're lovers and we're losers G Heroes and we're pioneers F We're beggars and we're choosers D E Skirting round the edges of the ideal demographic D We're almost on the guest list C We're always stuck in traffic C We've watched our close associates A Often play their parts G Chatting up the it girls F And they're tearing up the charts D E While we were playing with coppers to get our rounds in at the bar D C We're the C team with the the almost famous old friends of the stars C Am Justin is the last great romantic poet G F He's the only one among us who is ever gonna make it D E We planned the revolution from a cheap Southampton bistro D C I don't remember details, but there were English boys with Banjos C Am Jay is our St George and he's standing on a wooden chair [ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/f/frank-turner/113274.html ] G F And he sings songs and he slays dragons and he's losing all his hair D E And Adam is the resurrected spirit of Gram Parsons D C In blood instead of Rhinestone and living in South London E F And no one's really clear about Tommy's job description D C But it's pretty clear he's vital to the whole damn operation D E And Dave Danger smiles at strangers, Tre's the safest the girl I know D C And Zo and Harps will scamper off to victory in the City we call home C And we won't change are ways G F We will proud remain, when the glory fades, when the glory fades C Am Yeah I am sick and tired of people who are living on the b-list G F Yeah they're waiting to be famous, and they're wondering why they do this D E And I know I'm not the one who it habitually optimistic D C But I'm the one who's got the microphone here so just remember this C Am Well life is about love, lost minutes and lost evening G F About fire in our bellies and about furtive little feelings D E And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all flickering D C And they help us with remembering that the only that's thing left to do is live Am G After all the loving and losing, after all the heroes and the pioneers F G C The only thing that's left to do is get another round in at the bar. |
