This is how I play The Cure's In Between Days WITH A CAPO ON THE SECOND FRET (all chords are relative to the capo). It may not be entirely correct, but I think it sounds nice, and it's easy for a beginner. It's my first go at transcribing a song so don't be too hard on me... You can make it sound nice by putting your index finger on the first fret of the second string before changing from the G shape to the C shape (i.e. 320003 ---> 320013 - I think the latter's Gsus4) and taking your index finger off the same sring when changing back from the C shape to the G shape (i.e. x32010 ---> x32000 = Cmaj7) using your index finger in the verses. You can do a similar thing in the chorus with the Am shape by taking your index finger off the second fret (i.e. x02210 ---> x02200 = Asus2?) before changing to the D and taking your third finger off the 3rd fret on the second string (i.e. xx0232 ---> xx0202 = D6?) in the chorus.
