Artist: Cry Before Dawn Song: Gone forever Tabbed by: David John 4th June 2013 Tuning: Standard NB: You could just use barre chord shapes throughout the whole song. I like to mix them with some first inversion chords too, just to add variety, with some open strings ringing, particularly the top E. I think the barre Csus2 is actually the correct chord throughout, but if choosing to use first inversion shapes too, I just think a Cadd9 sounds better when playing in that particular position. Near the end of the choruses I make the Dsus2 a D major, as I think that adding the F# note back in helps that ascending progression on the top string. ************************************************************************* Em Dsus2 Csus2 Dsus2 e|--7--*12---------|--5--*7--------|--3--*12---------|--5--*7--------| B|--8------*12-----|--5-----*7-----|--3------*12-----|--5-----*7-----| G|--9---------*12--|--7--------*7--|--5---------*12--|--7--------*7--| D|--9--------------|--7------------|--5--------------|--7------------| A|--7--------------|--5------------|--3--------------|--5------------| E|-----------------|---------------|-----------------|---------------|(Twice) (*Harmonics) Em Dsus2 Cadd9 Dsus2 "You'd better start living off the land!", that's what she said, Em Dsus2 Cadd9 Dsus2 "They're gonna start working to a plan, with or with - out you, Em Dsus2 Even though the cupboards are bare, Cadd9 Dsus2 Even though there's nothing out there, Em Dsus2 Cadd9 Dsus2 You can't just sit around and worry, when you've still got a chance!"
