Alright, so this song (on the CD) is in the key of F#, but don't let that get you down. You can drop tune a 1/2 step and play it in G (easiest solution for beginners) or capo 2nd fret (play in E), 4th fret (play in D) or 6th fret (play in C). For those of you that decide capo is the route you wanna go, I've put the numbers in parentheses. If you've never used the number system before, 1 is your root chord. For example, if you drop tune and play in G... G is your 1 chord C is your 4 chord D is your 5 chord Em is your 6- chord and Am is your 2- chord And the same numbers apply for whatever key you play in... D#m (6-) Look down from a broken sky B (4) Traced out by the city lights F# (1) My world from a mile high C# (5) Best seat in the house tonight D#m (6-) Touch down on the cold black top B (4) Hold on for the sudden stop F# (1) Breath in the familiar shock C# (5) Of confusion and chaos D#m (6-) B (4) All those people going somewhere Abm (2-) Why have I never cared?
