Naked (from the album "Black and White", (C)1991)
-----
Baby, ask me anything that you want and I'll look you in the eye now
E A9
There can be no surprises if we mean what we say.
E
I've been around the block and I've done some things
E
That I ain't so very proud of
A9
Darlin' help me leave this cloud of rolling lonely behind.
E
Naked I'll stand naked if you stand naked with me I'll stand naked with you.
E A9 F#m A9
In the morning when I look in the mirror I look twice at what I'm seeing
E A9
If those eyes are really me then Lord, have mercy on my soul.
E
[ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/b/bodeans/123090.html ]
I'm walking forward but I'm walking alone and I need some understanding
E A9
Hell, we all need understanding and I want you to know.
E
Naked I'll stand naked if you stand naked with me I'll stand naked with you.
E A9 F#m A9
My hands are shaking as I reach for the touch and all I want to do is hold you
E A9
And I want to lose control you are so easy to crave.
E
The time has come for us to lay it all down there can be no more denying
E A9
If I can't have you I'm dying a little more every day.
E
Naked I'll stand naked if you stand naked with me I'll stand naked with you.
E A9 F#m A9
SPECIAL NOTE: on the last E chord of each verse, do a quick hammer-on the
second fret of the first string, right before going into the chorus.
(use your pinky to do this)
SPECIAL NOTE #2: This song is played on the album with a capo on the
seventh fret it seems (E chord is an A formation, A chord becomes a D
chord formation, and D chord becomes something like a G chord formation)
but for our acoustic-style or single guitar-style purposes, playing
the chords as-is is just fine. :-)
