This is a (simplified) chord-only version of There Is No Depression In New Zealand, lyrics by Richard von Sturmer and music Don McGlashan in 1981. I don't claim it to be my own but I feel it's an important New Zealand song and when I couldn't find chords or tabs for it online I thought I should rectify that! Unfortunately due to my lack of skill I haven't included any of the solo bits; feel free to submit them yourselves if you know them. Enjoy. :) E Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh (four or five times as intro) F# D F# A B There is no depression in New Zealand; F# A B there are no sheep on our farms, C There is no depression in New Zealand; B G we can all keep perfectly calm, E Everybody's talking about World War Three; E everybody's talking about World War Three, C But we're as safe as safe can be, there's no unrest in this country [ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/b/blam-blam-blam/382535.html ] B G We have no dole queues, B G we have no drug addicts, F# A B we have no racism, F# A B we have no sexism, sexism, no, no F# A B There is no depression in New Zealand; F# A B there are no teeth in our heads C There is no depression in New Zealand; B G we sleep in a well made bed E Oh but everybody's talking about World War Three, E yes everybody's talking about World War Three, C But we're as safe as safe can be, there's no unrest in this country B G We have no SIS, B G we have no secrets, F# A B we have no rebellion; F# A B we have no valium, valium, no, no F# A B There is no depression in New Zealand; F# A B there are no sheep on our farms, C There is no depression in New Zealand; B G oh we can all keep perfectly calm, E G perfectly calm, E G perfectly calm, E G perfectly calm, E G perfectly calm... |
