So, here's my arrangement for this wonderful song. It is based on another version also foound here on this site. But I didn't feel allright with some chords of that version, so i worked it out. I also added some tabs for the intro/outro and the licks in the chorus. Enjoy it, correction and critics please mail to momjovi@gmx-topmail.de ! NOTE: I saw on youtube that Billy plays the song live with capo on 3rd fret. Therefor you have to transpose everything down 3 half steps. You can get this easily using the transpose-function on the top of this site ;) Well, said enough, here you go! ------------------------------- Pretty Good At Drinking Beer Billy Currington Written By: Troy Jones Legend: ~~~~ let ring chord Intro/Outro: (2 Guitars, high e-string is pedal steel arranged for guitar, play with bottleneck) e|-6/8-6------8-10108-6---------6/8-6------8-10108-6----------------------| H|------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|-5/7-5------7-8-8-7-5---------5/7-5------7-8-8-7-5-------3--------------| A|------------------------3----------------------------3-5----------------| E|------------------------------------------------------------------------| Intro.: F C A# C x 2 F C A# C I wasn't born for diggin' deep holes F C A# C I'm not made for pavin' long roads F C/E Dm Dm C I ain't cut out to climb high line poles, but A# C F C A# C I'm pretty good at drinkin' beer (play like Intro) F C A# C I'm not the type to work in a bank F C A# C I'm no good at slappin' on paint F C/E Dm Dm C Don't have a knack for makin' motor's crank, no A# C F but I'm pretty good at drinkin' beer [ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/b/billy-currington/283666.html ] A# A#m So, hand me one more, that's what I'm here for F e|-10/8---5/8---10/8/10-| I'm built for havin' a ball H|-10/8---5/8---10/8/10-| A# A#m I love the nightlife, I love my Budlight F A# C e|-10/8///3-| I like 'em cold and tall H|-10/8///3-| F C A# C I ain't much for mowin' thick grass F C A# C I'm too slow for workin' too fast F C/E Dm Dm C I don't do windows, so honey, don't ask A# C F But I'm pretty good at drinkin' beer F ~~~~ C ~~~~ A# ~~~~ C ~~~~ go getter, maybe, I'm not F ~~~~ C ~~~~ A# ~~~~ C ~~~~ I'm not known for doin' a lot F C/E Dm Dm C But I do my best work when the weather's hot A# C F I'm pretty good at drinkin' beer A# A#m So, hand me one more, that's what I'm here for F e|-10/8---5/8---10/8/10-| I'm built for havin' a ball H|-10/8---5/8---10/8/10-| A# A#m I love the nightlife, I love my Budlight F A# C e|-10/8///3-| I like 'em cold and tall H|-10/8///3-| F C A# C I wasn't born for diggin' deep holes F C A# C I'm not made for pavin' long roads F C/E Dm Dm C I ain't cut out to climb high line poles, but A# C F Dm I'm pretty good at drinkin' beer A# ~~~~ C ~~~~ F C A# C I'm pretty good at drinkin' beer (play like Intro) Outro: F C A# C --- repeat (Spoken) Oh, hand me one more, boys, 'At's what I'm here for F C A# C --- repeat times to fade |
