Someone on here already made a really good hash at the intro, unfortunately they don't
an account so I can't credit them for it but here is their intro.
Capo on fifth fret
e|--------0------4------2-0----2-0--|
B|---------0------5-----------------|
G|-------------2--------------------| x 3, and on the last one end with
D|--------------------2-------2-----|
A|----------------------------------|
E|---0h2----------------------------|
e|---------------------|
B|---------------------|
G|---------------------|
D|---4--2--------------|
A|----------4----2-0---|
E|---------------------|
The chords are basically like this, I don't the exact name for them but I will write
root notes, relative to capo and the actual root note in brackets.
e|-0------0-----0---------|
B|-0------0-----0---------|
G|-1------1-----2/1-------|
D|-2------2-----2---------|
A|-2------x-----0---------|
E|-0------2---------------|
E(A) F#(B) A(D)
[ Tab from: http://www.guitaretab.com/a/attack-in-black/200930.html ]
You can pick and choose for the G string note on the A chord, both sound good and I
they alternate between both, play about with that.
For the chords I'll just use the relative to capo root notes.
E F#
Sooner or later i'm going to forget
A
leaving without a trace
E F#
when everything is how it should be
A
i'm going to hide my face
Chorus
F# A E
I'm Going to Forget x4
It's a lot of repeating and getting a good feel for it because it's pretty basic stuff
Have fun with it.
Lyrics:
Sooner or later i'm going to forget
leaving without a trace
when everything is how it should be
i'm going to hide my face
she thinks she knows me like no other
but there are some things i have said
that come from a place that traces its tracks
and now i'm taking them back
i'm going to forget
i'm going to forget
i'm going to forget
i'm going to forget
and now i can't help but feel this way
can't keep my mind from rolling
i know my thoughts are not with you
they're wherever i am going
so please, oh please send a warning for me
to anyone you care for
i come with the dust
and go with the wind
never to be back again
